The Spiritual Roots of Kansas City Tour

  • 4701 Wyandotte Street Kansas City, MO, 64112 United States (map)

Kansas City has a unique spiritual heritage.

One hundred years ago, residents referred to their hometown as “the prophetic city.” The Spiritual Roots of Kansas City Tour gives you the opportunity to experience that history firsthand and see how faith has shaped our city across generations.

Author Annika Bergen leads this narrated bus tour inspired by The Spiritual Roots of Kansas City, co-written with Bill High. As you travel through significant landmarks, Annika shares stories of prayer, courage, and vision that influenced Kansas City’s foundations — from Lewis and Clark’s exploration to the Freedom marches of the 1960s and the youth movements of the 70s and 80s.

You’ll learn how faith-filled business leaders, pastors, and everyday believers helped shape the spiritual trajectory of our region. Along the way, you’ll be invited to reflect on how your own gifts, talents, passion, and influence can contribute to the flourishing of Kansas City today.

Each participant receives a complimentary copy of The Spiritual Roots of Kansas City when you register and attend.
